When you live in Laguna Beach, one of the best things to enjoy is the great weather. That also means that it’s easy to have a vegetable garden all year round. Or it should be easy. If you’ve ever dreamed about growing a few veggies in the yard of your Laguna Beach home, there’s a great class coming up that will get you started
On Saturday, September 28th, Slow Food Orange County is hosting Pat Welsh as she presents “Growing Great Cool Season Veggies, the Organic Way." Just because summer is over it doesn’t mean that you have to abandon your dreams of growing a garden this year. Pat will discuss which vegetables grow best in the cooler months and how to maintain a kitchen garden if you live in Laguna Beach or anywhere in Orange County
Pat Welsh has been gardening since she was three years old, in her native country of England. She’s been teaching people how to grow their own gardens since the 1970’s. She’s also appeared on a number of TV shows and written several books. Her latest is Pat Welsh’s Southern California Organic Gardening. A question and answer session will follow her talk, so be sure to bring you questions about how to make a garden live in Laguna Beach.
