Real estate website Trulia recently analyzed luxury home market listings to determine which amenities rated highly and were more likely to be referenced. Windows made several appearances on the list, with terms such as “oversized windows”, “floor-to-ceiling windows” and “large windows” all frequently appearing in descriptions of high-end homes. Not surprisingly, views were also important (with all those windows, you’d certainly want something pretty to look at). “Panoramic views” and “ocean views” both rated highly as luxury amenities, great news for many home sellers in Laguna Beach, which boasts some of the best panoramic and ocean views in the country.  In addition, natural materials are becoming more important to luxury buyers as is an emphasis on the outdoors. It appears that with a renewed interest in nature and the outdoors, some indoors areas of a home are no longer as important to luxury home buyers. Formal dining and living rooms are on the decline and a once-hot item – a gourmet kitchen – is also not being mentioned as frequently in luxury home listings. The item that saw the biggest drop is the BBQ, with other kitchen and cooking amenities showing a decline. Here’s a look at the 20 amenities that are trending down:
