This Wednesday evening, January 25th, a renowned architect with at least two of his designer homes in Laguna Beach will be the subject of a featured event near your own Laguna Beach home. Those who love to study architecture as well as those with homes in Laguna Beach, will want to attend this presentation hosted by the Friends of Laguna Beach Architecture entitled, “Learning from John Lautner”. John Lautner's style and creativity are so fascinating and world renown, some of his home designs have appeared in famous films such as “Diamonds are Forever”, “Lethal Weapon 2”, and “The Big Lebowski”

Local architect David Parker will conduct the presentation, covering John Lautner's lauded works, including his unique approach to design, and how it has influenced Mr. Parker's own work. John Lautner (1911-1984) studied under Frank Lloyd Wright and began his own professional career in Los Angeles. He is known for his dramatic custom homes that pushed boundaries of design and technology. Even those homes that he designed and built over 50 years ago are audacious and daring by today's standards and have influenced generations of architects since. This event will be held on Wednesday, January 25th at 6:30pm at the Deilzan Fine Art Gallery at 224 Forest Avenue. Open to all, there is no charge for this event. To learn more, click here click here.
