The Sawdust Art Festival has called Laguna Beach home for decades and is a must on most cultural calendars. It’s a summer-long festival of local artists, demonstrations, and good food. If you live in Laguna Beach, you’ve probably been inspired by the beautiful work displayed there. Maybe you’ve even wanted to learn how to work in different media. Here’s your chance!
The Sawdust Festival artists offer art classes all year long! Your fee includes instruction by a local professional artist, supplies, and materials. At morning check-in, you’ll be able to enjoy a continental breakfast before diving into your class
On April 27th and 28th, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., join local artist Rosanne Nitti for “Introduction to Glass Mosaic”. On the first day, you will create your own design and attach your tiles to your base. The second day will be devoted to grouting and completing your work, so you can take it with you and show it off to your friends and family in your Laguna Beach home
Rosanne Nitti works primarily in digital and film photography, emphasizing black and white landmarks. She has a background in stained glass and so has branched out into glass mosaic. Her mosaics are fun and calming. Rosanne has been exhibiting work at the Sawdust Art Festival since 2008. Find out more by clicking here.
