The Heisler Park in Laguna Beach comes with a stunning ocean view along the bluffs on Cliff Drive from Aster Street to Diver’s Cove. It presents many photograph moments along the scenic terrain. When you visit on a Saturday, you will see many cameras flashing. There is an additional steep pathway that leads down the cliff going to Main Beach and into the marine refuge and tide pools. Older kids will love climbing over the big rocks in the area and exploring the ocean life swimming within the tide pools

Visitors of the Heisler Park can explore the Main Beach for the rest of the day. Sunbathers and volleyball players make things lively in the area. Or perhaps you can spend some time at downtown Laguna Beach and let the kids taste the best ice cream there is. Aside from that, great public art can be seen in the area. Some even spend most of their time just looking at the renowned outdoor art pieces at the beach

How to Get There


To get to the Heisler Park in Laguna Beach, turn south at the traffic light located on Myrtle Street from PCH. The Myrtle ends at Cliff Drive, make a right on Cliff and start searching for your parking place. When Myrtle and Cliff meet, you will find the park area. There are picnic tables all over the place. Beach access is to the right

Parking

Parking is available at Heisler Park on a first come first serve basis. There is parking available on both sides of the street. These are metered parking, 25 cents for every 15 minutes. Don’t forget to feed the meter well before you start enjoying at the park

The Facilities


There are a number of facilities available at the park. Picnic tables can be used, together with drinking fountains and charcoal grills. For the grills, the ones provided should be used; don’t bring your own grills. There are showers and bath rooms too for your convenience. Other amenities at the park are telephone, change machine, lawn bowling, shuffle board, and more

What to Bring


Of course, when heading to Heisler Park for the weekend, it is best to be prepared. It is advisable to bring some coins for the parking meters, water bottles, sunscreen, jackets for all seasons but the summer, and the like. Visitors can bring a picnic lunch too, but you need to haul it from the parking area. The children might not be able to resist going to the ocean for a swim, so, it is advisable to bring towels and extra clothing
