This weekend kicks off a string of events and holiday happenings in the Laguna Beach area. Your family can get out there and mingle, all while getting into the holiday spirit
Visit the Congressional Church located at 340 St. Anne's Drive. Here you'll find the Alternative Christmas Market happening for the seventh year in a row. Check out artisan crafts from Central America, which benefit Concern America. The Illumination Foundation will offer Christmas cards and jewelry. Fair trade coffee, chocolate and other delectable treats will be available. You can find free parking at Glenneyre and Cleo streets
Laguna Canyon Artists Holiday Open Studios, Saturday 12/8, 11 a.m. - 6 p.m., Sunday 12/9, 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Check out everything from sculptures, jewelry, paintings and ceramics at this artisan event. These are all local artists with unique gifts for the holiday season. There will be demonstrations, refreshments and entertainment at the event too. It's a great way to support local talent and give a gift that someone will cherish for a lifetime
Hospitality Night, Friday, 12/7, 5 p.m.
City Hall puts on this event every year, which features local artisans and crafters. Santa arrives at City Hall at 6 p.m., so get there early for a great spot. The Laguna Beach Chamber of Commerce provides activities for families. Expect live music, tamale sales and hot chocolate at this event. Keep in mind that streets will close starting at Forest Avenue at 3:30 p.m. in order to prepare for Hospitality Night
Sawdust Art Festival's Annual Winter Fantasy, every weekend beginning 12/9, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Located at 935 Laguna Canyon Road, this local arts festival opens this weekend and remains open every weekend during the hours above, until Christmas. You will see work from over 170 vendors and artists. You can also checkout the art classes and music events going on. This event charges admission. Adults are $6, seniors are $5 and kids from ages 6-12 are $3. Children 6 and under are free
