Children who live in Laguna Beach have the chance to share their creative talent by entering The Arts Commission's Annual Children’s Palette exhibition. Young artists between the ages of five and seventeen who call Laguna Beach home or attend a local art program or school can participate. Art will be grouped and judged by age in three categories, 5 to 8 years, 9-13 years, and 14 to 17 years
All original painted or drawn holiday designs must be turned in by 12 p.m. on Monday, November 19th so that seven members of the Arts Commission can decide on a total of twelve to be shown through the city on palettes and in City Hall from the entries. The Arts Commission will select winning designs on November 26th and artists will be notified on November 28th. The palette display will begin on November 30th and remain through January 4th and the designs will be showcased at City Hall throughout December. Some of the artists will also be honored with certificates by the City Council at their meeting in Council Chambers on December 4th at 6 p.m., at 505 Forest Avenue.
