Laguna Beach residents will be enjoying a cleaner community this July. Zero Trash will be hosting a community clean-up project on Saturday, July 7th, near your Laguna Beach home. Zero Trash began as Zero Trash Laguna, in 2007 when local Chip McDermott decided to clean up the city streets around his Laguna Beach home that were littered with trash. Chip sought to make a difference - and did
By combining efforts with local Laguna businesses Zero Trash established a program whereby Laguna Beach residents work together on the first Saturday of each month. Each month the group attempts to rid city streets of trash, reduce waste, and support local business, as they also accept personal responsibility for the community environment. If you live in Laguna Beach, you can take an active role in keeping the city clean, by collaborating with Zero Trash
Join in the effort at 10am on the July 7th as local business owners supply food, coffee, t-shirts and trash pickers, and everyone cleans up the streets of Laguna. In about two hours, working as a community, you will be amazed at the progress made! Meet at Hobie on Forest, El Ranchito, Thalia Surf Shop, or United Studios of self Defense on Coast Highway, or at Laguna Beach High School to be put to work!
