The 28th Annual California Coastal Cleanup Day, California's largest volunteer event, will be happening this Saturday, September 15th, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. If you live in Laguna Beach, this is your chance to make a difference, along with nearly 100,000 volunteers working throughout the California coastline, to beautify our beaches. Volunteers are asked to bring their own buckets or reusable bags and gloves. Volunteer meet up locations are at the south end of Main Beach, Aliso Creek County Beach, and near the Montage Resort at Treasure Island and Victoria Beach, making it easy to find a place to volunteer near your Laguna Beach home. Take this opportunity to do some good in your community and enjoy a beautiful day at the beach at the same time!
You can learn more about how you can reduce trash, see pictures of clean up events, and learn the dates for other community cleanup days by calling Robert Butow at 949.280.2225 or visiting the Clean Water Now! Coalition. The next scheduled Laguna Beach clean up is not until December 8th, but you can gather your own group of ten or more people for a special clean up day on the date of your choice by calling 949.715.1912.
