February near your Laguna Beach home is as good a time as ever to enjoy gorgeous green plants and learn about their magnificent lives and fascinating natural characteristics. Likewise, there's never been a better time to learn about art and explore your own creativity. Lucky for you, from February through May, The Laguna Outreach for Community Arts is hosting the program Laguna Beach Botanicals - Environmental Art Studies live in Laguna Beach. Adults 16 and older are invited (no experience necessary, beginners welcome!) to learn about plant species as presented by a LOCA horticulturalist, and then create a plant-themed work of art! Each session's quick-study course will focus on a distinct botanical subject, with an emphasis on plants native to Laguna Beach. Come kick off the Spring program with the first session on Thursday, February 23rd or Saturday, February 25th at Crescent Bay Point Park

Each month's session will rotate locations, mediums and instructors offered. Each session costs $25 and includes all materials, with your choice of Thursday or Saturday from 9:00am to 11:00am. Advanced registration is required through LOCA. To register, visit LOCA's website calendar and click on the date you would like to attend.
