A fantastic new musical, Lonesome Traveler: A Journey Down the Rivers and Streams of American Folk, is now playing through February 5th at the Laguna Playhouse near your Laguna Beach home. Some of the best music ever made has come from the roots of American Folk Music between the 1920's and 1960's and this musical presentation by the Rubicon Theatre will bring it all back. If you live in Laguna Beach, you'll want to experience Lonesome Traveler, the world premier concert including all the best American Folk Classics including “Tom Dooley,” “Goodnight Irene,” “Puff, the Magic Dragon,” “Blowin' in the Wind,” and “This Land is Your Land.”

The music reminds us all of a time when songs like these brought America together and then changed us. Those who remember it will enjoy a walk down memory lane and those who didn't live through the musical eras will have a firsthand experience to begin their journey. Lonesome Traveler takes us on a meandering musical journey “from the backwoods of Appalachia to the nightclubs of New York and San Francisco; from the mid 1920s to the mid 1960s.” It's a trip you can't miss
