One of Laguna Beach’s longest running galleries will soon become a memory. If you live in Laguna Beach, you know about the Esther Wells Gallery. You may have even purchased artwork for your Laguna Beach home from one of its many exhibits. This month will be your last to visit the Esther Wells Collection in person.
Beginning April 28th, the gallery doors, located at 1390 South Coast Highway in Laguna Beach, are permanently closing. Their last show features the 7th Plein Air Juried Show and Sale by the Laguna Plein Air Painters Association. The gallery is open 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily and you can view artwork from painters like Nancy Carroll, Jacobus Baas, Cynthia Britain, Gerald Brommer, Frank Dalton, McCreery Jordan, Mada Leach, Marj Linton, Hyatt Moore, Howard Marchese, Shirley Murray, Erika Oller, and Jan Magdaleno. If you love the unique sculptures of Russ Albright, Hugh Batten, Regina Hurley, Ralph Tarzian and James Farrah, you will want to take advantage of seeing them housed together one last time.
