Recycle trees near your Laguna Beach homeLaguna Beach Waste Management will be collecting and recycling holiday trees once again this year, allowing you to place your holiday trees and shrubs outside your home if you live in Laguna Beach.  A free service offered to Laguna Beach home owners, the trees will be composted and picked up at no extra charge until January 18th on normal collection days. Please trim your trees so they are four feet or less, if needed, as the Waste Management trucks have size limitations

Remember to remove all tinsel, metal ornaments, decorations, and metal stands from your trees so proper composting can be done. Keep in mind that while flocked trees will still be collected, they cannot be composted due to their chemical content. Another thing to note is that you can still recycle your holiday tree throughout the rest of 2013 by placing small pieces of it in your green waste cart on your normal trash day. If you have questions regarding your tree or yard waste, visit the City of Laguna Beach by clicking here.  The City of Laguna Beach will be closed on Tuesday, January 1st to celebrate New Year's Day and trash collection will also be delayed by one day.
