See art live in Laguna BeachDid you know that the Laguna Art Museum exhibits the art of children who live in Laguna Beach? The Museum’s Education Department works with children in schools throughout Orange County to help them create art which complements the exhibits displaying the art of more mature artists. The Young Artists Society Gallery is hosting a reception for its newest exhibit, Metastatic, on Sunday, June 2nd from 2 to 4 p.m. The reception is free, and it’s a great opportunity to encourage the children who live in your Laguna Beach home to explore their own artistic aspirations

Metastatic is a series of paintings by Laguna Beach High School students, inspired by artist Beatriz da Costa. The paintings are based on microscope images of cancer cells, which complements the ex*pose exhibit of da Costa’s work exploring her fight with breast cancer. The students’ paintings have a unique beauty and highlight a view of cancer from an unusual perspective

Don’t miss this fascinating exhibit, which runs until September 29, displaying the intense artwork of students who live in Laguna Beach! Plan to make a day of it over the summer and bring the kids along. For more information, visit the Laguna Art Museum website online by clicking here.
