If you live in Laguna Beach, you’ve probably know and love the Sawdust Art Festival and Festival of the Arts. But did you know that the Sawdust Festival offers amazing art classes all year long? Two-day weekend art classes are offering in a variety of media. Instructors are local professional artists who give students one-on-one, hands-on instruction in their area of expertise. Class fees include supplies, material, and instruction. You can even enjoy a continental breakfast when you check in each morning
On Saturday, April 27th and Sunday, April 28th, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., join professional glassblowers Gavin Heath and Muffin Spencer-Devlin and learn the basics of glass blowing. Students will learn how to turn molten glass into beautiful works of art, and, by the end of the class, students will have created a beautiful piece of blown glass art. What an amazing experience to have first-hand near your Laguna Beach home!
Gavin Heath has been blowing glass since 1987 and has been exhibiting his work at the Sawdust Art Festival and the Festival of the Arts for 20 years. Muffin Spencer-Devlin fell in love with glass blowing six years ago. She has been exhibiting work at the Sawdust Art Festival for four years and teaching classes for the last couple of years.
